Creative Wellbeing at Palmerston

The Creative Wellbeing at Palmerston Primary features whole school engagement to all things Creativity and Wellbeing.

Every year across the school are taking part in two workshops. Within each workshop and through the creative activities pupils Explore wellness and their own wellbeing, Express themselves, their thoughts and feelings, and Exceed expectations by embracing challenges and striving for personal growth.

The programme will explore the 5 ways to wellbeing within the following activities:

  • Creative Journaling
  • Photography
  • Drama and Dance
  • Puppetry
  • Gratitude Tiles

Alongside the pupil engagement in the project, staff undertake two CPD Sessions that delve into the “5 Ways to Wellbeing,” encompassing various areas of expression, creativity, and self-reflection.

CPD is designed to foster an understanding of how expressive arts can improve wellbeing, developing confidence to deliver and facilitate creative activity as a tool for change, a tool for learning and tool for expression.
